Bio & Contact

Basic Information
I'm a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Iowa. And yes, that's my brain on the previous page. You also can view an Andy Warhol inspired picture of me. (It's a little old, but you get the idea.)
I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University (1995) and my B.S. from the Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon (1990).
I regularly teach the department's Elementary Psychology course, in addition to the occasional graduate course in my specialty area. I currently have an appointment as a Miller Teaching Scholar in University College. I received a Collegiate Teaching Award in 2005, and I gave the faculty address at commencement in 2005.
