Exam 1 very-short answer grades have been redone. If this part of the exam was particularly difficult for you, then I suggest putting more focus on the post-lecture study questions (and writing out your answers, instead of either thinking about them or - worse - jumping straight to the answers on the next page). If you are already doing all this and still having a hard time, please come to office hours so that I can make other suggestions unique to you.

Exam grades will appear on ICON late Sunday evening. Materials for Part 2 will appear on this site Friday afternoon. If you feel a need to keep moving forward right now, as opposed to relax after the first exam, then click into the section sub-page and watch the video for next week's section.

I have made changes to both the selected lecture slides and the after-lecture study questions for Unit I.2 (Tuesday the 24th). I deleted the material related to "unreliability" since we didn't have time for it in lecture. This material is now part of Unit I.3 (Thursday the 26th), instead.

Welcome to the course!

Yes, it really is true that there is no required textbook; the readings will be posted on this site as pdfs, instead. The link for Part I of the course will be activated on Monday.

There are no section meetings during the first week of classes. We do have lecture, of course. Note that when sections start up, you must attend the correct one; see Dawn or Becky in E11 SSH to try to change sections, if you need to.
