Prevention of Postpartum Depression

Postpartum depression is a serious mental health problem that afflects millions of women every year around the world. Symptoms lead to significant impairment and functioning in areas such as personal care, care of the newborn, family relations and work. These impairments call for research on clinical interventions to treat and prevent postpartum depression.
